TwainGPT (twaingpt.com) is one of the newer AI humanizer tools climbing search rankings. Named after Mark Twain, the tool promises to make AI text undetectable. We tested it.

What is TwainGPT?

TwainGPT is an online AI humanizer that takes AI-generated text and rewrites it to sound more human. The tool targets students, content creators, and anyone who wants their AI-assisted text to pass detection tools.

How We Tested

We created four different texts using GPT-4o: a 500-word college essay, a 300-word blog intro, a 200-word product review, and a 400-word research summary. Each was run through TwainGPT, then checked against GPTZero, Originality AI, ZeroGPT, and Writer.com.

Results

TwainGPT performed well on shorter texts. The blog intro and product review passed all four detectors consistently. But the longer college essay and research summary had mixed results. GPTZero flagged portions as mixed in 2 out of 4 tests.

The core issue: sentence length variation. TwainGPT improves vocabulary choices but the output still has too many sentences in the 15-20 word range.

Pricing

TwainGPT offers a limited free tier with paid plans starting around $9.99/month.

TwainGPT vs AiTwo

Our AI humanizer uses Claude 4.5 Sonnet with a system prompt engineered to maximize both perplexity and burstiness. In our comparison, AiTwo produced output that scored higher human percentages across all four detectors.

Verdict

TwainGPT is a solid mid-tier humanizer for short casual content. For longer or critical texts, you need something better. Try our free TwainGPT alternative
